Product · Genie AI
An assistant that acts as you, and asks first.
Genie is not one generic chatbot. There is a dedicated Genie for each module, reading that module's live data, plus a general assistant for other pages. Each one can answer and act, always with the permissions of the person asking.
What it does
Analyze, act and research.
Ask what changed in the pipeline, which accounts are heating up, which deals are at risk, how a forecast would move in a scenario, what is overdue, how SLAs are performing, and how any metric is calculated.
Create contacts, deals, tickets, tasks, quotes, invoices, goals and dashboard widgets. Log calls and notes. Merge duplicates, bulk reassign owners and change stages, schedule meetings and build automations.
Search your records and your knowledge base, and save the result as a dated research report. Research Mode chains more steps for harder questions.
One per module
Nine Genies, one standard.
Analytics, CRM, Marketing, Sales, Service, Veliq AI, Data, Commerce and People each have their own Genie, with a placeholder and greeting that fits the page you are on, so a shorter question is enough. A general assistant covers the pages that do not belong to one module, and Genie is also available inside Inchat conversations.
Every Genie follows the same rules, so you learn the behavior once.
Authority
How much authority Genie holds.
Authority is earned in steps. This is how it maps to what Genie does today. For the thinking behind it, read autonomy is a dial, not a switch.
- Answers
Genie reads your records with your permissions and shows the data behind each answer.
- Prepares
It drafts invoices, replies and suggested updates for a person to review and apply.
- Acts on approval
Merges, invoices, bulk changes, owner changes and large deals always pause for your confirmation.
- Runs your rules
Automations run only the rules you publish, with a run history for each one.
Guardrails
Built in, not bolted on.
Genie runs with the signed-in user's permissions, so it cannot show a record you could not open. Leadership-only tools are enforced on the server.
Merges, invoices, bulk changes, owner changes and large deals always pause for your confirmation and show what will happen.
Emails, form submissions, call transcripts and web pages are read as data, never as instructions. After reading outside content, every change it proposes needs your confirmation.
Figures are checked against your CRM data and the records behind an answer are shown. Genie says when it has low confidence or when information is missing.
Genie's actions are recorded against the record and attributed. Admins see usage and cost.
Switch Genie off per workspace or per person. Switch Research Mode off separately.
Make it yours
Teach it your playbook.
Out of the box Genie knows how veli(Q works, not how your company works. Three things close that gap:
- Genie Skills. Saved instructions with a trigger, examples and an output format. Anyone can build a personal skill. Admins can publish one for the whole workspace, and a starter library covers pipeline review, deal risk briefs, meeting prep and ticket triage. A skill can never grant Genie a new tool.
- Genie Knowledge. Admins upload documents such as PDF and DOCX files so Genie can answer from your policies and playbooks.
- Your own instructions. Set a reply style, a default currency and always-on instructions on your profile. You can also speak your question: the input supports voice.
Genie and automations
Two tools, two jobs.
| Genie | Automation | |
|---|---|---|
| When it runs | When a person asks | On its own, when a trigger fires, with no one present |
| What shapes it | Skills, knowledge and your instructions | The WHEN, IF and THEN rules you publish |
| Who is accountable | The person who asked and approved | The person who published the rule, with a run history |
| Use it for | Questions, analysis, drafting, one-off changes | Anything that should happen whether or not someone asks |
Genie can also draft an automation from a sentence. You review and publish it. Read how to choose the first function to automate.
Genie
Genie, answered.
What is Genie?
Genie is the AI assistant built into veli(Q CRM. It is not one generic chatbot: there is a dedicated Genie for Reporting, CRM, Marketing, Sales, Service, People, Data, Commerce, Veliq AI and Customer Success, each reading that module's data, plus a general assistant for other pages. Each one can both answer and act, always with the permissions of the person asking. More about Genie.
What can Genie do?
It can analyze: what changed in the pipeline, which accounts are heating up, which deals are at risk, how a forecast would move in a scenario, what is overdue, and how any metric is calculated. It can act: create contacts, deals, tickets, tasks, quotes, invoices, goals and dashboard widgets, log calls and notes, merge duplicates, bulk reassign owners and build automations. It can also research, searching your records and your knowledge base, and saving the result as a dated report.
Will Genie change my data without asking?
Not for anything significant. Merging records, creating invoices, bulk changes, owner changes and large deals always pause for your explicit confirmation and show exactly what will happen. Every action is logged against the record and attributed.
Can Genie show someone data they shouldn't see?
No. Genie acts as the signed-in user. If a person cannot open a deal in the CRM, asking Genie about it will not reveal it either, and leadership-only tools are enforced on the server, not only hidden in the menu.
What stops a hostile email from instructing Genie?
Genie reads text from emails, form submissions, call transcripts and web pages as data, never as instructions. When it has just read something written by someone outside your company, every change it proposes needs your confirmation.
How do I know Genie's answers are accurate?
Every figure Genie quotes is checked against your CRM data, and the records behind an answer are shown beside it. Genie says so when it has low confidence or when information is missing, instead of filling the gap.
Can we control or switch off the AI?
Yes. Admins can turn Genie off for the whole workspace or for individual people, and switch Research Mode off separately. Admins can see Genie usage and cost. For the wider thinking behind this, read why autonomy is a dial, not a switch.
How is this different from adding a chatbot to our current CRM?
A chatbot answers questions about whatever it is shown. Genie lives inside each module, reads that module's live records, acts within the user's permissions and leaves an audit trail. See autonomous AI compared with chatbots and RPA.
Ask it something real.
Start free, bring a few records across, and ask Genie what changed in your pipeline this week.
