Team chat that knows every deal.

Inchat is the team chat built into veli(Q CRM. Open any deal, account, contact or ticket and press Discuss: the room shows live record cards, echoes what happens on the record, and only people who can open the record can read it.

The problem

Why deal talk gets lost.

Deals are discussed in a chat app that does not know the deal. Who can read the conversation is a separate permission problem. Decisions such as a discount approval live in a direct message, and the record never learns what was said.

When chat lives in the same database as the CRM, those problems stop being integrations and become features.

How it works

From first message to finished work.

  1. Press Discuss

Any deal, account, contact or ticket can open its own room. Access always follows the record's own permissions.

  2. Talk with live cards

Paste a link to a deal, account, contact, ticket, quote or invoice and it appears as a card that keeps showing the current stage, amount and status.

  3. Decisions land on the record

Calls, meetings, notes, stage changes and SLA alerts echo into the room as timeline posts, and any message can be logged back onto the record as a note. Quote approvals are stamped on the quote.

  4. Genie helps as you

Ask with @Genie or /genie. In a deal room, Genie can suggest changes to the amount or close date from the conversation, and a teammate applies each one.

  5. Workflows react

A message with a keyword, a reaction or someone joining a room can trigger an automation. An automation can also post to a channel.

Who decides

You decide how far it goes.

Genie answers

It reads the room and the record as the person asking, and summarizes a channel or thread for that person only.

Genie suggests

Suggested amount and close date changes carry the message evidence. A teammate applies or dismisses each one under their own permissions. Nothing changes silently.

People approve

A rep posts an approve or reject card to a channel such as a deal desk. An admin other than the requester decides. Approvals are advisory today: they do not block sending the quote.

Automations run your rules

Only people's messages can trigger a workflow, so Genie and automation posts can never loop.

Guardrails

Controls built in.

Access follows the record

Membership alone is never enough. Files and search results follow the record's visibility too.

Secret and card scanning

Messages can be scanned for API keys, private keys and card numbers, then redacted or blocked.

Retention

Keep messages for 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 7 years, or never delete.

Audit, analytics and export

An admin audit log (never message contents), chat analytics, flagged-message review and a full export.

Posting rules

Admins choose who can create channels, who can use @channel and @here, how long messages stay editable, and whether people can delete their own. Channels can be announcement-only.

Webhooks

Incoming webhooks post into a channel. Public-channel messages can fire an outgoing event. Private channels, direct messages and record rooms never leave the workspace this way.

Everyday chat

And everything you expect.

  • Scheduled messages, recurring reminders, saved-for-later and drafts
  • Custom status with expiry, do-not-disturb, focus mode, notification schedules and keyword alerts
  • CRM-aware search, for example messages about pricing in deal rooms over a given amount
  • A weekly pipeline digest posted to a channel of your choice
What Inchat does not includeThere are no voice or video calls, no external guests or shared channels with other companies, and no native mobile push notifications. Desktop browser notifications are available and opt-in.

Inchat

Inchat, answered.

What is Inchat?

Inchat is the team chat built into veli(Q CRM, so conversations sit next to the deals, tickets and people they are about. It has public and private channels, direct and group messages, threads, reactions, polls, canvases, pins, file sharing, scheduled messages, reminders, custom status and do-not-disturb, plus slash commands such as /poll, /remind, /summarize and /genie. More about Inchat.

What is a record room, and who can see it?

Every deal, account, contact and ticket can have its own room, opened with a Discuss button. A room follows the record's own permissions: if someone loses access to the deal, they lose the room, its files and its search results immediately. Membership alone is never enough.

How do live record cards and the timeline work?

Paste a link to a deal, account, contact, ticket, quote or invoice and it appears as a live card that keeps showing the current stage, amount and status. Calls, meetings, notes, stage changes and SLA alerts logged on the record are echoed into the room as timeline posts, and any chat message can be logged back onto the record as a note.

Can quote approvals happen in chat?

Yes. A rep posts an approve or reject card to a channel they choose, such as a deal desk. An admin other than the requester decides, and the decision is stamped on the quote and logged on the deal. Approvals are advisory today: a pending or rejected request does not block sending the quote.

What does Genie do in chat?

Ask Genie in any conversation with @Genie or /genie. It answers as you, with the same permissions, and in a deal room it also has the deal as context. It can summarize a channel or thread (visible only to you), translate or explain a message, and brief you on what you missed. In deal rooms it can suggest changes to the amount or close date from the conversation, with the evidence, and a teammate applies each one under their own permissions. Nothing changes silently.

What controls do admins have over chat?

Admins choose who can create channels and who can use @channel and @here, how long messages stay editable, and whether people can delete their own. Channels can be announcement-only. Messages can be scanned for API keys, private keys and card numbers, then redacted or blocked. Retention can be set from 30 days to 7 years. There is an admin audit log (message contents are never recorded in it), chat analytics, flagged-message review and a full export.

Can other tools connect to chat?

Yes. Incoming webhooks post into a channel, public-channel messages can fire an outgoing webhook event, and the API can read and write public channels with scoped keys. Automations can post to a team channel, and can also be triggered by a message with a keyword, a reaction or someone joining a record room. Private channels, direct messages and record rooms never leave the workspace through these routes.

What is not included in Inchat?

There are no voice or video calls, no external guests or shared channels with other companies, and no native mobile push notifications. Desktop browser notifications are available and opt-in.
